A dedicated partner to the Australian feedlot industry

ProFeedlot is a specialist feedlot veterinary consultancy supporting cattle feedlots across Australia with animal health, welfare and performance solutions designed for all Australian feedlot operations.

We work collaboratively with feedlot managers and teams to develop, implement and continually refine site-specific animal health programs. Our approach goes beyond advice. We focus on practical application, on-site training and measurable outcomes, ensuring strategies are embedded into daily feedlot operations.

Built on experience. Designed for scale.

ProFeedlot brings together the expertise of three long-established feedlot veterinary consultancy businesses, each with deep roots in the Australian feedlot sector.

Through Apiam Animal Health, Quirindi Feedlot Services, Bell Vet Services and Southern Cross Feedlot Services were brought together to form ProFeedlot. While ProFeedlot is a modern, unified service offering, the foundations of the business span more than 30 years, with over 100 years of combined veterinary and industry experience across the team.

This structure allows ProFeedlot to deliver the depth, consistency and national coverage required by large and complex feedlot operations, while maintaining strong relationships and hands-on support at site level.

Dedicated feedlot veterinarians

ProFeedlot veterinarians work extensively in feedlot systems. This dedicated focus allows our team to develop specialised knowledge, technical capability and a deep understanding of the operational, regulatory and welfare challenges faced by feedlot businesses.

Our team-based model ensures clients benefit from the collective experience of multiple veterinarians, not reliance on a single individual. It also provides continuity of service, resilience and the ability to support feedlots at scale.

Veterinarians are supported by ongoing internal training, collaboration and knowledge-sharing, allowing ProFeedlot to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes across all regions.

Individual animal care and herd health

While herd health management is a critical component of feedlot performance, ProFeedlot places equal importance on individual animal care.

Our services extend beyond herd-level protocols to include individual animal diagnosis and treatment, advanced lameness management and specialised procedures delivered on site. This combined approach supports improved welfare outcomes, maximised carcass value and reduced production losses.

Science-led, objective decision making

ProFeedlot is committed to evidence-based veterinary practice. All recommendations are guided by credible research, robust data and critical evaluation.

We work closely with universities, industry bodies and research partners to validate practices, assess emerging technologies and ensure our advice delivers genuine return on investment. This objective approach supports feedlot managers to make informed decisions that enhance performance, welfare and long-term sustainability.

Supported by Apiam Animal Health

ProFeedlot is supported by the national Apiam Animal Health network, providing access to specialist expertise, in-house diagnostic laboratories, integrated logistics and product supply capabilities.

This backing allows ProFeedlot to offer reliable service continuity, competitive product access and the infrastructure required to support feedlots across Australia, without compromising the specialist feedlot focus of our veterinary team.

Working alongside feedlot teams

ProFeedlot works with feedlot operations at every level, from senior management to on-site teams responsible for daily animal care.

Our veterinarians spend significant time on site delivering training, supporting staff capability and ensuring animal health programs are understood, implemented and maintained. This hands-on approach builds consistency, confidence and long-term outcomes for both people and livestock.
